5 Common Mistakes You're Making with Your Personal Brand

5 common mistakes you're doing building your personal brand:

1. Not teaching what you know: You can’t help others achieve things you haven’t experienced yourself. Teach what you know and you can’t go wrong.

2. Building a website before you’re ready: Figure out your brand personality, your brand aesthetic, what lane you plan to play in, who you are going to help and have a track record BEFORE you build a 10-page website. Keep it simple in the beginning until you figure out where you stand.

3. Not investing in brand photography: We are visual human beings and you can’t ask others to invest in your business if you haven’t taken the time to invest in your business. Old, out of date photos are a dead give away that you ain’t serious.

4. Saying you do multiple things and justifying it by saying you are a multi-passionate entrepreneur. Most entrepreneurs are multi-passionate that goes without saying, but when people are looking for someone to solve that one problem they have they are looking for an expert, someone who is “known” for solving that problem - you need to pick a lane and own it.

5. Only showing up for your audience when you feel like it. Business owners who only do what they feel like doing are only playing at running a business. When you are inconsistent with your presence your audience loses trust. The average person needs to see you an average of 7 times before they even consider buying from you, so KEEP SHOWING UP - NO MATTER WHAT - even when you don’t feel like it, even when you think your audience isn’t watching . . . someone is always watching.
