Episode 104: What I Told the Room in Dallas (And What the Room Told Me)
I almost didn't teach this talk. I thought it was too technical, too under-the-hood for a room of creative educators. I was wrong. The moment I started breaking down how AI decides who to recommend - and who to skip - the audience started taking screenshots. Because this is the part most people aren't talking about yet: it's not enough to be visible anymore. If your messaging isn't clear enough for AI to understand what you do and who you do it for, you're invisible to an entire discovery channel that's growing every day.
This is a recap of my time at the Creative Educator Conference in Dallas, hosted by Laylee Emadi. I'm sharing what I taught on stage, what I learned from the other speakers, and a few behind-the-scenes moments that reminded me why you can't automate your way out of needing real human connection.
