FAQ

Q: Am I getting a coach or a consultant? What is the difference?

Coaching is about growing the person, the business owner, from the inside out. Coaching helps you to determine goals that match your highest potential, create a realistic plan to achieve those goals, discover how you self-sabotage your business and be accountable for achieving goals within a planned time frame. While your coach might offer you insight and advice, the primary purpose of coaching is to empower YOU to learn how to create the business of your dreams.

Consulting brings the expertise of the consultant into the mix. A consultant offers information, advice, brainstorming and training. Look for a consultant who has achieved what you want to achieve, someone who is willing to share all their knowledge, wisdom and practical tips with you.

With me, you are getting both!

Q: How do I know if I need coaching, consulting, or both?

You need a coach if you want help:

  • organizing your thoughts

  • creating a practical and effective plan

  • prioritize goals and tasks

  • being more accountable for following through on tasks

  • maintaining high motivation even in the face of difficulties

  • understanding how you sabotage your efforts (and figuring out what to do about this self-sabotage)

You need a consultant if you want:

  • the advice and experience of someone who is successfully self-employed

  • to understand the basics of business planning and marketing

  • to learn business and marketing skills in a rapid fashion

  • to find ways to manage and follow-up on your business success

I am a coach-consultant so you get the best of both worlds.

Q: Do you service a particular geographic area?

We are located in Toronto, Canada. However, our present clients are from all across Canada, and the USA. Because all of our services can be done virtually there is no limitation to who we can work with based on your geographical area. We would welcome the opportunity to work with anyone living in Europe, Australia and the Caribbean.

Q: What is your personal Coach-Consultant style?
I would love to say that I will work with anyone. But I would be lying. I have a no BS, come to work, type of style. I am high energy when I am in my element and only work with people who are passionate about what they are doing. Open communication is a must. Whether we're talking about your business strategy, your marketing plan or your website design, YOU are in complete control. A good coach-consultant does not tell you exactly what to do; she brainstorms with you to use your own creativity when solving problems and offers advice and information when needed. You make your own decisions based on the total discussion; decisions that you can feel confident about implementing.

Your coach-consultant empowers you to create sound decisions and to feel confident about your decisions but does not judge any decision you make. If at any time, you do not feel comfortable with your coach, you can simply say so. You always have the right to terminate the coaching relationship if it is not working for you. Strict honesty between the coach and client make all this possible.

Q: What is the first step in our working together?

The very first thing you will need to do to get the ball rolling is filling out the application. The application allows me to get an overview of what you want and where you want to go. I will know if I can help you or not based on the information you fill out.

Q: What happens after my application is approved?

After your application is approved you will receive an email inviting you to your confirmation call. This is 15-20-minute call to have your questions answered and set up the date and time of your VIP Boss Day. Once the date is confirmed you will be emailed your contract outlining the scope of our work. When the contract is signed you will be sent an invoice requesting the first installment. Note your VIP Day is not confirmed until 1st payment is received. The final payment is due 48hours prior to our session

Q: Can I set up a call instead of filling out the application?

As much as I would love to hop on a call with you, the short answer is, no. However, a 15-minute confirmation call will be set up if your application is approved where you can ask questions, I can gain clarity on your application and discuss payment options. This 1:1 relationship will be a close one over the next few months and before I can determine I can help you, I need to know what you want.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?

Yes I do! For the VIP Boss Day the payment schedule is as follows: 50% (non-refundable) installment is due to secure your day and the balance is due 48hours prior to our session. For longer term contracts installments will discuss during your confirmation call once your application is approved.

Q: What if I have to cancel the VIP Boss Day?

Due to the prep work involved if you have to cancel the VIP Boss day after first instalment is received. This will not be refunded. If you cancel after the second instalment is received, you will be refunded 50% of the total paid.

Q: What if I need to reschedule my VIP Boss Day?

Let me know as soon as possible if you need to reschedule your VIP Boss Day and I will do my best to accommodate. However due to high demand I cannot guarantee the timeline.

Q: What if I know I need more than a one day session?

Longer term contracts to build out your brand identity are available. Please inquire on your confirmation call.

Q: What will I walk away with following the VIP Boss Day?

The VIP Boss Day is curated to each client, so I cannot say definitively what your key takeaways will be, it also depends if you have added on additional services. However, for sure you will walk away with:

  • You’ll leave with a concrete action plan on how to level up your online persona, what words to use and what steps to take.

  • Clarity and confidence in your expertise and how to position them to your audience and future partnerships.

  • A bank of juicy and compelling brand messaging that you can use across your social media, website copy and in-person interactions.

  • List of speaker topics, blog posts and professional articles you will use to highlight your expertise and the strategy on how to pitch to the media.

Q: How much does it cost to add on the extra sauce?

Each additional creative team varies depending on your needs. I will provide quotes during your confirmation call.

Q: What types of industries do you work with?

  • Health & Wellness

  • Beauty

  • Fashion

  • Entertainment

  • Creatives

  • C-suite positions

  • Women in Tech

Don’t fit into any of those categories and still want my help? Fill out the application and I would be happy to review it.

Q: I have worked with consultants and coaches in the past, what makes you different?

I couldn’t tell you. What I can say is this is a very intimate relationship and I will know after our first interaction if w will be a good fit. That is really what it is all about, am I the one to help you reach your potential,  brand your message and take you where you want to go?

Q:  I already have a brand I want to know how to pitch and position myself as an expert.

Perfect! Every relationship begins with a VIP Boss day, but it will be curated for you depending on your needs.

Q: What happens after the VIP Boss Day?

You will get two 1 hour to follow up coaching calls to allow you to ask questions or pivot if need be. If you have opted in for additional services i.e. website design, logo design, copywriting, graphic design, image consulting, we will dive right into that following your VIP Day with the predetermined timeline.

Q: Do you ever fire a client?

Yes, I have fired clients in a limited number of cases, for very specific reasons. I never fire a client without discussing the situation beforehand and giving them a chance to mend the problems. Reasons include:

  • Repeatedly not coming to the session prepared

  • Missing sessions without calling first

  • Habitually coming late to sessions

  • Doing something illegal

  • Not taking responsibility for their own decisions

  • Not taking action on their decisions

  • Not paying on time

  • Needing psychotherapy, not coaching or consulting

Q: Do your clients always know exactly what kind of business or brand they want to start before they come to you?

My clients fall into three categories:

  • The first type of client is one who already has a business and wants to grow their brand and expand to new areas.

  • The second type of client is just getting started in a new business but knows exactly what business she wants to be in.

  • The third type of client has several ideas for their brand, but she isn't sure yet which one (or which combination) will work best for her, or if there's something she hasn't thought of yet that might be the best fit.

It doesn’t matter which category you fit into, you just need to know who you want to be, who you want to help and what the big vision is for your brand. You don’t need to know how to make it happen, that’s my job, but you are the visionary, this is your dream.

Q: What if I have no presence online, would I still be able to build my personal brand?

Absolutely. The truth is you are a brand whether you like it or not, you just haven’t figured out how to package it yet. There is no better time to start.

Q: What if I hate posting on social media, would this still work for me?

I know there are some people out there who swear they suck at social media and it gives them anxiety just thinking about posting. I can give you the tools and the resources to build out your social media platforms, but I can’t give you the drive. You have to want to do this. I will give you the strategy to build out a die-hard fan base and show you how to get your message to the ones who need it, but you have to execute on it for it to work. If you already have an established brand and want to hire a team to execute your social media for you, please let me know during our confirmation call.

Q: But I’m an introvert, can I still build my personal brand?

Of course! You know who else is an introvert? Former Talkshow host, Oprah, actress and comedian, Amy Schumer, Youtube sensation, Jasmin Star. You can too!

Q: How do I know if I am ready?

Ask yourself the following:

  • Do you have a burning desire to share your message and gifts with the world?

  • You are ready to step into the public eye and be called on for speaking engagements.

  • You are the face behind your business and need a polished online presence.

  • You are a business professional looking to position yourself for new opportunities.

  • You desperately need clarity on your brand message.

  • You want to draw in a die-hard fan base and don’t know where to start.

  • You want to brand yourself as an expert, gain credibility and impact others with your message.
